Edmund Bartlett, and the Director General of the GTRCMC, Dr. Paul Pennicook, signed the MOU on the 28th of July 2023. The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Tourism in Kingston, Jamaica.

The establishment of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC) satellite centre at the University of San Luis in Peru will take place in September 2024. This centre will focus on developing and implementing innovative solutions for tourism resilience and crisis management. The centre will be led by a team of experts from the University of San Luis and will collaborate with other institutions and organizations globally.
